Why we exist

How we choose what we sell

Three steps, in this order. If a device cannot survive all three, we do not list it — which is why the catalogue is one product long.

We go to the source The LaserMask is manufactured by Shenzhen Idea Light Limited. We select laser and light technology at the factory that builds it, rather than re-badging whatever a trading company is offering that season.

We publish the specification Emitter count, the four wavelengths (460, 665, 850 and 1064 nm), optical output, battery, timer. The numbers go up as the datasheet states them — including the unglamorous ones.

We keep the documents Laser safety under EN 60825-1, photobiological safety under IEC 62471, the medical device licence, ISO 13485, CE and RoHS. We hold the files and we hand them over.

What we will never do

Most of what is wrong with this industry is not a bad device. It is a good device sold dishonestly. These four rules are the ones we hold ourselves to, and they are the reason some perfectly sellable sentences never appear on this site.

invent a claim If a number is not in a document we hold, it does not go on the page. No borrowed statistics, no percentages traced back to a competitor’s brochure, no “up to” figures with nothing underneath them.

make a disease claim The LaserMask is a beauty device. We do not say it treats, cures or prevents any medical condition, and we will not imply it either. If a question belongs with a doctor, we say so.

fake a review No purchased reviews, no invented testimonials, no stock-photo faces with made-up names attached. If a review is from an early-access tester, it is labelled as one.

hide the limits Class 3R is not an eye-safe class — the supplied eye protection must be worn, every session. And where the published evidence is genuinely limited, such as blue light and pigmentation in deeper skin tones, we tell you before you buy rather than after.
